We must fight back

On December 6th, we mark The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women — a day that honours the 14 women murdered at École Polytechnique in 1989, and all those who continue to face gender-based violence.

In this episode, we’re going beyond commemoration. We’re talking about what this moment means for communicators — especially now, as misogynistic rhetoric creeps more boldly into professional spaces.

Internal comms isn’t just newsletters and talking points. It’s shaping culture. It’s deciding whose voices get amplified. It’s taking a stand when silence would be easier — and more comfortable.

This is why communication professionals have a responsibility to push back against harmful narratives, call out bias, and ensure our workplaces don’t normalize the casual misogyny that erodes trust, safety, and belonging.
